Recruitment and Use of Artificial Intelligence
If you apply for employment with Jarvis, we may use artificial intelligence (AI) and other AI-assisted tools to support aspects of our recruitment and selection process.
These tools may assist our recruitment team to review, organise, summarise and assess information provided by applicants, including information contained in applications and résumés and information about employment history, qualifications, skills and experience.
AI-assisted recruitment tools support our recruitment team and do not replace human decision-making. Recruitment decisions remain subject to human oversight and review.
Some recruitment AI tools used by Jarvis are provided by third-party AI service providers. Applicant personal information may therefore be disclosed to, accessed by or processed by those service providers, including service providers located outside Australia, including in the United States.
Further information about our use of AI-assisted recruitment tools and overseas processing is contained in the Jarvis Privacy Policy.
Use of Artificial Intelligence in Customer Communications and Service
Jarvis may use artificial intelligence (AI), automated technologies and third-party AI-assisted service providers to support customer communications and service activities, including:
- responding to customer enquiries;
- reasonably following up enquiries about vehicles, finance products or other Jarvis products and services;
- providing information requested by customers;
- assisting with appointment bookings; and
- supporting our Customer Experience Centre and dealership teams.
Where an AI-assisted service is used, personal information relevant to your enquiry may be disclosed to, accessed by or processed by third-party AI service providers on Jarvis’s behalf.
We seek to limit the information provided to information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Depending on your enquiry, this may include your name, contact details, vehicle or product of interest, dealership, purchase timeframe, preferred contact method, relevant enquiry information and previous contact history.
We seek to avoid providing sensitive, financial, credit-related or other unnecessary personal information to customer-facing AI services where that information is not reasonably required for the relevant purpose.
Where an AI or virtual assistant communicates directly with you, Jarvis will take reasonable steps to make you aware that you are interacting with an AI or virtual assistant rather than a human employee.
You may request to communicate with a Jarvis employee instead.
Third-party AI service providers may store, access or process personal information outside Australia. Further information about Jarvis’s use of AI-assisted services and overseas processing is contained in the Jarvis Privacy Policy.

These locations include the United States and Japan and may include other countries depending on the service provider and the services being provided to Jarvis.
Where Jarvis is likely to disclose personal information to an overseas recipient, we will handle that disclosure in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Where practicable, information about other countries in which overseas recipients are likely to be located will be included in our Privacy Policy or relevant collection notice.
Further information about Jarvis’s overseas handling of personal information may be obtained from our Privacy Officer.
